The answer to this question is twofold. There’s plenty of evidence that Google values freshness for certain topics. For example, an article about a recent article published today has a good chance of ranking higher than one published two weeks ago. For other queries, however, older content may be more ideal than newer content.
Regularly updating random parts of your website probably doesn’t have a direct effect on your site’s rankings. Updating an old blog post with new, valuable information can help with rankings, but generic updates, like updating your “About” page, are unlikely to help in any way.
What's more, updating a georgia number data page often results in adding details and additional content. And it's this effort to provide text that Google appreciates, not just changing the date.
The reality:
Google values freshness for certain topics. Update old content when appropriate, but there is no need to make unnecessary updates "just in case it helps rankings."
Google specifies that duplicate content is "substantial blocks of content within or across domains that completely match or are substantially similar to other content. Most of the time, this is not a misleading origin." _________________ phone number database |
